about us

Established 2005

The Glen Finglas Wild Brown Trout Fly Fishing Club was established in 2005 and has the sole rights to manage fishing on Glen Finglas Reservoir. We believe we have a unique opportunity to offer public access fishing to a very special place that abounds with nature in stunning surroundings rarely available today. The club is indebted to Awards for All (Scotland) who in 2006 have supported the club in the purchase of two boats and equipment to get us started.
Glen Finglas reservoir is unique in that it offers at a very modest price, the opportunity to fish this 300 acre water in an area within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The Club is particularly keen to encourage anglers who respect the environment and enjoy the total angling experience of a day in the National Park. We aim to ensure sensibly managed public access but also retain the remoteness element of the experience that makes Glen Finglas so attractive in the first place. We have two boats for hire which can take a maximum of 3 anglers per boat. Fishing is from boat only and by fly fishing only. No other source is authorized to offer permits for Glen Finglas reservoir.
